Chores

So sorry for my absence yesterday but they've got me doing my sentence... oh, chores. I've been straightening and filling the merchandise shelves.

Here at GasLamp Antiques, at both locations, we carry Howard supplies!

We've got Howard products... Orange Oil $15, Feed-n-wax $13.50, Citrus Shield Premium Paste Wax $22.50 (in various colors available), Restor-A-Finish $15, Polishing Compound, Burnishing Cream, Wood & Upholstry Soap, Leather Conditioner and Butcher Block Conditioner. We also carry other supplies like Jewelry wipes, Tibet Almond Sticks $4.50, Polishing gloves & cloths for silver and brass darkening solution.

My favorite is the milk paint we carry! I've got a project in the back I'm working on with my best buddy Jason (T309 "Dirt")! Jason has taught several milk paint classes here at GasLamp. He's preparing to teach another one soon... I'll keep everyone informed about that!! Tomorrow I'll take you guys on a tour of Jason's booth. OH, FRIDAY MORNING, Jason with be on "Talk of the Town" on Channel 5 at 11am! Be sure to watch! I am!!!

Beautiful Items with Frank!

Here's Frank showing off on the left (from T290) a French or Italian fruitwood side table $450.00 and on the right (from T290) circa 1840s, a William IV English Mahogany table with a marble inlay top $975.00. The floral chair $375.00 and footstool $92.00 (from booth T324) is comfort to a sweet cat's soul!

GasLamp Too Collaboration

At GasLamp Antiques, the original building and here at Too, we have common places called "Collaboration." Glenn, who is an interior designer and visual merchandiser puts together wonderful vignettes...that I get to lay in. I always love to watch him create! Right above me is a Louis XV Style writing desk with sevres styled Plaques (France 1920s) from Belle Meade Blvd. Estate for $1900 (from booth T290). The runner under me is Semi Antique 3'6" x 13'6" for $725 (from booth T134). The Gold Leaf Louis XVI French Chair, circa 1800s ($650 from booth T105), goes purrrrfect with the desk... yes, I did say that! And I'm sitting on a comfy Victorian needlepoint footstool, circa 1850-1899, with carved walnut and original webbing for $148 (from booth T367). Vive la France!!

Frank's view on Mid Century Modern

Look at this beauty of a couch! It was calling my name as soon as Todd and Rusti walked through our front doors. I'm a cat that loves comfort and style. This couch was right up my alley with the clean lines of Mid Century Modern.

Todd and Rusti are the owners of this booth (T158), both great people and wonderful artists... AND personal friends of mine. This particular couch was used in the movie "The Identical" with Ashley Judd, Ray Liotta, Seth Green, Amanda Crew and directed by Dustin Marcellino (filmed here in Nashville!) And yes, I am throwing names around. I'm a cat, I can do that.

Todd's art also has been seen on the Television show "Nashville". They're fans of his work. We all are proud of Todd... especially me since we are tight! Come by and see their booth T158 at GasLamp Too. You'll find me there. Todd and Rusti say I bring good mojo! Thank you guys!

It's Me WORLD! I've come to take over!

Hello people out there! Let me introduce myself, Francis Albert Sinatra here... you can just call me Frank. Yes, I was named after ole blue eyes himself.

I live here, GasLamp Too in Nashville, Tennessee. We've got two great stores, both real close to each other. MY HOUSE is 25,000 square feet of wonderful furniture for me to sleep on! Not true, the sleeping part that is... but I do have certain pieces I do love to snooze on, just don't tell the dealers... wink, wink!

I've been, well, assigned this duty. Some people here at GasLamp thought I needed to pull my weight (which some people around here have been making some comments on...) so I'm going to try my best to blog daily and feature my favorite items that the dealers bring in and I get to test drive! You know cats have a VERY busy schedule... sleep 18, play 30 minutes, eat about 20 minutes... well, it's busy. Oh, if you here the crew say "It's always about the cat!" I'm here to tell you, IT IS ALL ABOUT ME!
